Hundred Acre Wood Trails
Location: City of Coquille, OR
Participating Stakeholders: City of Coquille, Oregon Coast Visitors Association, Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation, Judith Ann Morgan Foundation, Coos County, Coquille Tribal Council, First Community Credit Union
In 2021, Ptarmigan Ptrails was hired by City of Coquille to design Phase I of the Hundred Acre Wood. The terrain was located within 1/4 mile of the Historic downtown. Connecting the community neighborhoods and businesses to the trail system was a major goal of the project. In 2023, PTRAILS bid on the construction of Hundred Acre and was awarded the build contract. Our team built 3 miles of mountain bike optimized trails and an additional 3 of shared use and hike only trails. A portion of the trails were designed and constructed to meet adaptive bike and universal access standards. We continue to build on our experience from previous projects to improve our deliverables and create new standards of excellence across Oregon.
